On November 21st, the second member meeting of the first printing and dyeing machinery branch of the China Textile Machinery Association was held in Xinchang, Zhejiang. Qiu Wuhong, Deputy County Mayor of Xinchang County, Li Yi, Vice President of China Textile Machinery Association, Lin Lin, Vice President of China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association, and other relevant regional and association leaders, as well as about 90 representatives of China Textile Machinery Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch, member companies, and printing and dyeing equipment manufacturing enterprises from all over the country attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Yutong, Secretary General of the Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association.
In his speech, Qiu Wuhong introduced the current situation of regional industrial development, the composition of regional enterprises, entrepreneurs, and the regional environment. Qiu Wuhong stated that advanced equipment manufacturing and biomedicine have supported half of Xinchang's economy, with outstanding per capita GDP performance, strong regional industrial economy and technological innovation capabilities. Regional enterprises adhere to the concept of sticking to their main business and strengthening industry, constantly expanding their horizons and improving their level. Xinchang has a large number of outstanding textile machinery enterprises and entrepreneurs such as Titan, Rifa, and Yuanxin. From January to October 2018, the main business of textile machinery in the region increased by 18.9%. It has played an important supporting role in regional economic development. He expects more textile industry activities to be held in Xinchang to promote better development of regional industries.
In his speech, Li Yi stated that Xinchang, as a gathering area of textile machinery, has developed well for many years, from Xinchang printing machinery more than 20 years ago to many well-known outstanding textile machinery enterprises in the industry. At the meeting, he also announced that Yuanxin Industry Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Hongda Technology Group, as the executive chairman units of the new printing and dyeing machinery branch in 2019, made a brief speech.
At the meeting, Li Yi gave a special presentation on the development of the printing and dyeing machinery industry and the 2018 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition. According to reports, as the country with the largest production of printing and dyeing fabrics, China currently produces more than 50% of the world's printing and dyeing fabrics, and is also the world's largest manufacturer and user of printing and dyeing machinery. The annual sales volume of domestic printing and dyeing machinery is about 15 to 20 billion yuan. Overall, in the first three quarters of 2018, the domestic printing and dyeing machinery market as a whole operated smoothly, with rapid export growth. Under the current environmental policy and economic situation, continuously improving product quality and actively expanding overseas markets are important directions for the future development of domestic printing and dyeing and finishing equipment manufacturers.
Then Li Yi introduced the printing and dyeing machinery exhibits at the 2018 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition. There were 489 domestic and foreign printing and dyeing machinery manufacturers participating in the exhibition, an increase of 4.7% over 2016, including 314 exhibitors from Chinese Mainland and 175 overseas exhibitors. As an important work of the China Textile Machinery Association, the Textile Machinery Association has organized experts to evaluate exhibits at past exhibitions. For the printing and dyeing industry, this year, the evaluation focused on three categories of equipment, namely, knitted fabric pretreatment machinery, digital inkjet printing machines, and intermittent dyeing machines.
According to reports, domestic and foreign enterprises at this exhibition have brought many new products and technologies, making certain progress in energy conservation and emission reduction, clean production, and digital technology applications, indicating the development direction of printing and dyeing machinery technology. The main products exhibited at the exhibition were: 21 enterprises engaged in knitted fabric pretreatment machinery, 32 enterprises engaged in digital inkjet printing machines, 23 enterprises engaged in intermittent dyeing machines, 12 enterprises engaged in rotary screen printing machines, 8 enterprises engaged in flat screen printing machines, 22 enterprises engaged in setting machines, 10 enterprises engaged in mechanical visual inspection machines, and 6 enterprises engaged in oil fume treatment equipment.
It is particularly worth mentioning that at this year's exhibition, there has been a significant increase in the number of machine vision cloth inspection system equipment, indicating that the demand for automatic cloth inspection to replace manual work is driving the development of this technology.
Finally, Li Yi reminded that energy conservation and emission reduction will still be the main line in the development of printing and dyeing machinery technology, and the application of numerical control technology will greatly promote the realization of cleaner production in the printing and dyeing industry. At present, intelligent technology has been applied in many industries, and the best fields of intelligent technology application in the textile industry are package dyeing, spinning, and chemical fiber packaging. The intelligent technology of textile printing and dyeing is still in the stage of research and development or partial application, especially the intelligent logistics transportation of printing and dyeing materials, which has not yet made progress, and needs to be explored and tested by equipment manufacturing enterprises in this regard.
Lin Lin made a report entitled "Analysis of the Operation and Annual Trend of the Printing and Dyeing Industry from January to September 2018". She analyzed the operation performance, main influencing factors, and annual outlook of the printing and dyeing industry from January to September 2018.
From January to September 2018, printing and dyeing enterprises above designated size produced 35.70 billion meters of printed and dyed fabric, a year-on-year increase of 0.48%, and the growth rate decreased by 6.61 percentage points compared to the same period in 2017. Under the role and influence of multiple factors such as national industrial policy guidance, industry transformation and upgrading, production factor costs, stricter environmental protection, and market demand, the output and growth rate of printed and dyed fabrics are at a relatively low level in recent years; The southeast coastal areas continue to play a major role in the development of the printing and dyeing industry; The new stage of industry development has accelerated the reshuffle of industrial organizational structures; Backbone enterprises rely on the accumulation and improvement of independent innovation capabilities to achieve stable development, with generally stable commencement and efficiency. Their contribution to the economic growth of the industry is further highlighted, and the survival of enterprises that do not focus on improvement is even more prominent.
Referring to the main influencing factors in the industry, Lin Lin said that the cost of enterprises has continued to increase, the price of bulk chemicals has increased significantly, and the requirements for wastewater and exhaust gas treatment have continuously improved, leading to rising environmental protection investment and operating costs, as well as rising labor costs; The pressure on environmental protection continues to increase. Although the level of energy conservation and emission reduction in the printing and dyeing industry has greatly improved in recent years, due to the rapid and extensive development in previous years, energy conservation and emission reduction have left some arrears, which has become a manifestation of the current "uncoordinated" development of the industry; Driven by increasingly high environmental protection requirements and social responsibility, enterprises need to continuously increase efforts in cleaner production and the treatment of three wastes.
The establishment of the Printing and Dyeing Machinery Branch is to establish a platform for industry exchange. At the meeting, representatives exchanged and discussed hot issues such as intellectual property protection, environmental protection policies, how to expand overseas markets, and how to develop enterprises healthily. The heads of many enterprises, including Kangpingna, Changzhou Hongda, Jiangsu Haida, Jin Hengfeng, Jiangsu Little Sun, Jiangsu Saige, and Sanji Industry, had in-depth exchanges of ideas.
